Travelling to Rome

There are many options available when travelling to Rome. The main port closest to Rome is Civitavecchia and is located at Molo Vespucci.

There are a few options for flying to Rome.  The principal airport, Fiumicino, is 26 km from the city, but there is also a smaller airport, Ciampino, which is only 15 km from the centre of Rome.

The Italian State Railway, Ferrovie Dello Stato operate a good train service over the whole country.

Getting to Rome by road is also an option with fast and efficient motorways, although tolls are payable.
